Canadian Energy deemed an essential service in Ontario and Quebec

In order to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19, everyone has a role to play. It takes more than governments and action from the health sector to protect the health and safety of Canadians. Each of us can help our country be prepared in the event of an emergency by understanding how coronavirus spreads and how to prevent illness.

Canadian Energy Operational Adjustments: It was announced earlier this week that both Ontario and Quebec instructed all non-essential businesses to shut down effective midnight, Tuesday, March 24th, 2020. Canadian Energy has been deemed one of these essential businesses and will remain open and operational for the forecastable future. We are operational in every market across Canada, with all of our branches and distribution centres open for business.

We have modified the schedules of our route service vehicles to meet our customers’ current delivery demands. We will be monitoring our operations to ensure we are meeting the needs of our customers. We have also taken steps to temporarily reduce the number of active territory managers across the country to comply with good social distancing practices. We have product experts in all markets ready to answer any questions or fulfill any orders you require. Please reach out to your local branch with any questions or inquiries by calling (888) 236-7472.

Human Interaction: In order to maintain recommended social distancing practices, we request that all of our customers place pick-up orders as far in advance as possible. Once your order is received, we will assign you a pickup time to limit the time spent at our facility and keep personal interactions limited as we all do our part to limit the spread of the virus.

In addition, we have increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitizing our facilities to help prevent the spread of germs. We must ask that all of our visitors practice recommended hygiene as directed by The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and stay at least 2-meters away from other people, wash your hands often with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, and covering your coughs and sneezes. If you would like further details on what we are doing to help fight COVID-19, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your nearest branch.

We will continue to operate in this modified system and adapt as the circumstances require to continue to provide the best service and product possible. We will comply with all governmental recommendations to support the suppression of the spread of COVID-19.

Thank you for your business and stay healthy.
